Two tigers released in jungle

Canning (West Bengal): Two tigers caught by forest officials over the past two days were on Saturday released in the core areas of Sunderbans in South 24 Parganas district, officials said.

While one tiger was caged in Sudhanshupur village under the Gosaba police station area after it was spotted by locals in their paddy fields, the other was caught in the Netadhopani (I) jungle on Friday.

A collar was tied to the Netadhopani tiger before it was released in the jungle. - PTI
