NALGONDA: Chief Minister K Rosaiah's visit to Nalgonda district, which witnessed intense separate Telangana agitation until recently, went off smoothly on Sunday. Amidst tight security arrangements, Mr. Rosaiah toured Nereducherla and Narketpally mandals. He participated in well attended public meetings at Dischincherla in Huzurnagar Assembly segment and at Narketpally in Nalgonda constituency. The Congress cadres heaved a sigh of relief following the successful conduct of the public meeting at Narketpally which was also attended two Union Ministers R.P.N. Singh and S. Jaipal Reddy besides State Ministers K Venkat Reddy, G. Aruna Kumari, M. Mukesh Goud, and V. Vasanth Kumar. Nalgonda and Bhongir MPs G. Sukhender Reddy and K. Rajgopal Reddy also participated. The Congress cadres mobilised people under the supervision of Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and the Huzurnagar MLA N. Uttam Kumar Reddy for the public meetings addressed by the Chief Minister at Narketpally and Dischincherla respectively. MLA K Jana Reddy also participated in the meeting. However, Suryapet MLA R Damodar Reddy was conspicuous by his absence in both the meetings.
