Resource persons insisted that officials should maintain all records in Tamil language and affix signatures only in Tamil. Circulars They exhorted the officials to carry on all communications and issue circulars in Tamil. District Revenue Officer S. Natarajan inaugurated the workshop. M. Rajendran, deputy director of Tamil development, Salem region, gave an account on usage of Tamil language in offices. A. Arthanari, assistant professor of Periyar Government Arts College, and P. Arumugham, assistant director, Tamil Development (Salem), spoke on language training and how to rectify mistakes in communication.
