British fugitive dies in Goa

PANAJI: Ajay Kaushal, wanted by the British police in a case of assault and kidnapping in which he was awarded a 15-year jail term, died at a government hospital here on Tuesday morning.

There were conflicting reports about the time of his death.

Senior officials of the Goa Prisons said that he was taken from the Sada jail at Vasco in south Goa to the hospital on Monday night after he was found unconscious in his cell.
