High Court rejects MLAs' plea

HYDERABAD: Justice K.C. Bhanu of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Thursday rejected the petitions filed by two legislators seeking dismissal of election petitions filed against them.
Election petitions
An election petition was filed against Minister for Higher Education D. Sridhar Babu on the ground of excess expenditure. Another election petition was filed against Suman Rathod alleging that she was not a tribal.
She filed a petition to declare the election petition as not maintainable.
Cases to go for trial
This was not accepted by the judge and now both the election petitions will go for trial.
