Meeting with cell phone firms held

PUDUCHERRY: Union Minister of State for Planning, Parliamentary Affairs and Culture V. Narayanasamy has stressed the need to expand cell phone manufacturing industry across the country and requested the manufacturers to set up units at Puducherry and other States. He was speaking at a consultative meeting on manufacturing of cell phone and cell phone components at New Delhi.

Officials from Nokia assured the Union Minister to look into the request. President of Indian Cellular Association Pankaj Mohindroo and Josh Foulger of Nokia participated in the meeting, a release said.
