Road Tax collection

VILLUPURAM: Road tax for non-transport vehicles can be remitted at the Regional Transport Office in Villupuram and branch offices at Tindivanam and Ulundurepet from March 26 to April 10, according to Ramalingam, Regional Transport Officer.

In a statement released here, the RTO said that the tax could be paid between 10 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. on all working days.

All vehicles registered after July 1, 1998, should pay life-time tax.

At the time of tax payment, vehicle owners should produce the original registration certificate, insurance policy and emission certificate, the RTO said.
