dated March 29, 1960: Preserving music tradition

Presiding over the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the Sri Parthasarathi Swami Sabha at its premises in Triplicane, Mr. Justice M. Ananthanarayana Aiyar, stressed the need for preserving the traditions of Carnatic music and appealed to Vidwans to render only classical pieces by great composers in the concerts. He also paid a tribute to Sri Ariyakudi Ramanuja Iyengar on his completion of fifty years of service to Carnatic music. He referred to his musical career and said that he was a great custodian of sampradaya music. Many others paid rich tributes to the musical proficiency of Sri Ramanuja Aiyangar.
