Easy for Ranjith CC ‘A'

Namakkal: Ranjith Cricket Club ‘A' (Tiruchengodu) posted a six-wicket win over PRP Kapil CC (Namakkal) in the TNCA-DCAN first division league at the ICL Colony grounds recently.

The scores: First division: PRP Kapil CC (Namakkal) 129 in 31.4 overs (N. Satheesh Kumar 42, D. Satesh Kumar three for 15) lost to Ranjith CC ‘A' (Tiruchengodu) 132 for four in 30 overs (P. Prabhakaran 41).

Second division: Bharath CC (Namakkal) 147 in 35 overs (Srinivasan 32, T. Manikandan 30, N. Sivakumar three for 29) lost to Everest CC (Namakkal) 149 for nine in 34.2 overs (P. Sakthivel 56 not out, T. Manikandan three for 34) .

Badminton camps

The Coimbatore Officers Club will conduct a shuttle badminton summer coaching camp for all age group boys and girls at the Club courts near VOC Park from April 10 to May 25.

The camp will be held in two sessions — 10.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. For details, contact coach-in-charge Babu T. Thomas at 98943 79784 or 0422 2380486.

The R.S. Puram Ladies Club's summer camp in badminton for school and college students will be held at the R.S. Puram Ladies Club courts on Arokiaswamy Road (West) from April 11 to May 26.
