Episcopal ordination held at Bethany Retreat. Kozhikode: Remigiose Inchananiyil was consecrated the new Bishop of Thamarassery Eparchy at a Episcopal ordination ceremony at the Bethany Retreat Centre at Pullorampara, near Thamarassery, in Kozhikode on Thursday. Msgr. Inchananiyil is the fourth Bishop of the Thamarassery Eparchy. Mar George Valiamattam, Archbishop of Thalassery Archdiocese led the ceremony. Senior priest Mar Jacob Thoonkuzhy was the co-celebrant. Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malankara Church Moran Mar Baselios Cleemis Catholicos attended the ordination ceremony. The outgoing Bishop, Mar Paul Chittilapilly, was given a farewell during the ceremony, which was attended by Archbishops, senior priests and thousands of believers besides leaders from the socio-political front.
