One person arrested

KOCHI: Ernakulam Town South Police arrested one person on charges of stealing an autorickshaw.

The police team led by Circle Inspector V.G. Raveendranath stopped Satheesh, 30, of Puthenpura, Malayil, Udayamperur, at Maradu during a vehicle checking at around 1.45 a.m. on Thursday. On interrogation, it was found that he had stolen from a house at Eroor.

The vehicle was owned by Rajani Shyju of Eroor and was taken on rent by driver Abdul Karim. He was taking the vehicle to Munnar when he was caught.
