Three held for transporting iron ore illegally

NELLORE: The police arrested three persons who were shifting iron ore from Bellary to Krishnapatnam Port Company Limited (KPCL) with fake way bills. They seized five lorries and the material from them.

On a tip-ff, the Range Crime Control Squad police intercepted the lorries transporting low grade iron ore to KPCL on Thursday night. During investigation it was found that accused were loading the material at a private factory in Sri Kalahasti and were selling the ore with fake way bills. The police took I. Srinivasuu, M. Hazrath Babu and K. Murali in this connection. Investigation is on.
