Houses for tribal people

Tirupur: Ten houses constructed by Rotary Club of Tirupur Dollar City for tribal people at Uginiyam village, near here, was commissioned recently. Club president V. Sundaramoorthy said that the dwellings were built at a total outlay of Rs. 10 lakh.
“The club also helped the villagers get power connection,” he added.
The facility was inaugurated by Rotary District 3202 Governor E.K. Sagadevan.
Mr. Sundaramoorthy said that it was planned to construct 30 more houses in the same village during this financial year. The Club had, so far, carried out welfare activities to the tune of Rs. 2 crore.
