Minister's assurance to workers of small cinema

HYDERABAD: Minister for Information & Cinematography J. Geeta Reddy on Monday assured that the State government would protect the interests of artistes and workers who depended on small cinema for their livelihood.

Responding to a representation submitted by a delegation of the Telugu Cinema Pariraskhsana Samithi here on Monday, the Minister for Information & Cinematography said the State government was conscious of the problems faced by the film industry and it would soon hold a high-level meeting to resolve them.

The delegation included samithi chairman Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao, president A. Mallikarjun and vice-president S. Dasaratha.
