CHENNAI: Integral Coach Factory (ICF) edged out Arrows FC 1-0 to go back to the top of the table in the St. Joseph's-Chennai Football Association senior division league here on Monday. The victory took ICF to 26 points from 10 games, two clear of Chennai Customs, which it faces after on April 22, in what should be the title decider. ICF though will be without the league's top scorer S. Fredy who was booked for an impetuous elbow on Arrows' Naveen Kumar. Arrows began the game brightly and should have taken the lead in the 16th minute through Samwel Jackson who skewed his shot wide from a mere 6 yards out. Arrows was denied the lead in the 35th when Satish Kumar's header was cleared off the line by ICF's L. Karthik. ICF was awarded a penalty in the 59th minute for a clear handball by Naveen Kumar. J. Auxiano whose initial spot kick was saved, smacked the rebound into the back of the net. Although its midfielder A. Sherin was sent off for picking up a second yellow card, Arrows almost equalised in stoppage time. After John Nnanna (later adjudged the man-of-the-match) smacked a wonderful left footed effort onto the crossbar from over 30 yards out, Jackson could only head the rebound back onto the crossbar. Earlier in the first division, a goal from R. Sasikumar helped Universal RC defeat RPF 1-0.
