Return of the brat

Thanthonni

The movie, directed by George Varghese, tells the tale of young brat. Sadly, it has little to offer to the viewers.

Kochu Kunju (Prithviraj) is the youngest — and rather notorious — member of a wealthy family. At a very young age he leaves home, only to return a decade later. The family eagerly waits for him since his consent too is required to share the ancestral property.

But he refuses to give in easily. He has other plans. The story revolves around how he successfully beats his uncles in their own game.

Prithviraj excels in his tailor-made role. Ambika looks the part of his long suffering mother. The cast includes Sai Kumar, Jagathy Sreekumar, Vijayaraghavan, Captain Raju, Suresh Krishna and Sudheesh.

Sajeth Menon cranks the camera. Lyrics of late Girish Puthencherry are set to music by Tej Mervin.

A notable feature is the song ‘ kattu paranjathum'sung by veteran playback singer K.P. Udayabhanu after a gap of four decades. Thanthonni, scripted by T.A. Shahid, is produced by Shahul Hamid Marikar for Marikar Films.
