VISAKHAPATNAM: Fitness and music make a great combination. To add vigour to the fitness regime, Foot Steppers started a dance aerobics workshop for kids and adults from Thursday. Fitness trainer and choreographer Mayur Vaidya from Mumbai is conducting the classes on dance styles like hip-hop, freestyle, krumping, rock-n-roll and swing. The kids' batch will go on till Saturday while the workshop for adults will end on Sunday. Mayur has conducted similar dance aerobics workshop in cities like Mumbai, Nasik, Baroda, Rajkot, Kanpur, Gwalior, Pune and Udaipur. “This form of aerobics is a great stress buster. And with music it becomes more fun and relaxing,” he said. It not only helps in burning calories but also improves general well-being of an individual. According to Mayur, with the growing popularity of dance reality shows in television, not just youngsters and people from all age-groups were getting attracted to dance aerobics. Summer classes Foot Steppers will be conducting special summer classes for kids and teens. Classical dance classes and latino ball room dancing will be started soon, said Deepa Deval of Foot Steppers. “Our aim is to focus on the physical, mental, social and spiritual wellbeing of an individual, work on strength, stamina, flexibility and body composition,” she added. Foot Steppers is located at Ad Life premises, Panduranga Temple Road.
