‘Identify your passion and pursue it'

HUBLI: While lectures and management fests continued in the educational institutions in the twin cities, one of the colleges celebrated its annual gathering last week.

The Department of Management of the BVB College of Engineering and Technology had organised a special lecture on “Understanding various dimensions to choose the right MBA specialisation” by Nandkishore Rathi, Chief Navigating Officer, Loratis Career School, Bangalore. Mr. Rathi asked students to identify their passion and pursue it. “Students can do their best when they decide their career path by choice. It is the blend of passion, talent and expertise that is key to an individual's success,” he said.

Mr. Rathi advised the students to utilise the two years of their postgraduate course to enhance their knowledge and achieve expertise in the area of their specialisation.

Hunt for ‘3 Idiots'

The KLE Society's Institute of Management Studies and Research (IMSR) organised “Unleash your talent” during the weekend to hunt for the “3 Idiots of north Karnataka”. As many as 245 students from 38 colleges of north Karnataka participated in the event with one of the protagonists of “3 Idiots”, Sharman Joshi, being the judge for the final event held on Sunday.

‘Sambhrama-2010'

The Global College of BBA, BCA celebrated its annual gathering ‘Sambhrama-2010' last week.

Inaugurating the celebrations, Police Commissioner of Hubli-Dharwad Raghavendra Auradkar stressed the need to remember one's roots, no matter the height of one's success. Mr. Auradkar called on the students to join hands with the police in maintaining peace.

Students who had achieved distinction were felicitated.
