Railway concession to cancer patients

HYDERABAD: The full-fare concession to those cancer patients travelling by trains in third AC compartments or in sleeper classes to get treatment in hospital, has come into effect from April 20, but their attendants will be eligible only for 75 per cent concession, according to a railway press release here on Thursday.
The concession is on only on basic fares and other charges will be realised. The element of concession for cancer patients and their escorts which is seventy five per cent for second class, first class and AC Chair Car and fifty per cent for second AC and first AC will remain unchanged.
