Double for Anushree

KOLKATA: Anushree Hazra of North Kolkata picked up a double crown winning the women's and junior girls' titles in the finals of the North Kolkata district table tennis championship.

The event, organised by Dumdum Kishore Mahal and NKDTTA, saw Sumit Kundu of Hooghly claiming the men's title while the youth boy's title went to Arnab Bose of North Kolkata.

The results (finals): Men: Sumit Kundu (Hg) bt Sougata (DK) 11-7, 12-10, 11-2, 11-9; Youth boys: Arnab Bose (NK) bt Susovan Das (NK) 11-8, 9-11, 11-9, 11-8, 12-10; Junior boys: Sayantan Dey (N24) bt Arjun Ghosh (N24) 11-13, 11-9, 11-7, 11-5, 16-14.

Women: Anushree Hazra (NK) bt Sutirtha Mukherjee (N24) 13-11, 14-12, 11-9, 11-6; Youth girls: Sutirtha Mukherjee bt Anushree Hazra 11-4, 9-11, 8-11, 7-11, 11-1, 13-11, 11-9; Junior girls: Anushree Hazra bt Camelia Sil (N24) 11-7, 11-7, 4-11, 11-9, 11-8 .
