Strikes and bandhs definitely are criminal activities which, instead of yielding any desirable result, further disturb peace and destroy national property causing immense harm to the people at large. Do we achieve anything by destroying something? Protests should be free of violence, loot and arson. The primary aim of bandh supporters is to court arrest and use the ‘act of sacrifice' for votes.
