Orissa heatwave death toll 110

New Delhi: Five more persons died of heatwave in Orissa on Wednesday, taking the toll in the country this summer to 113, as temperatures stayed above the 40 degree Celsius mark at many places in northern India.

With the five deaths, the number of people who have fallen victim to the intense heat in Orissa this year climbed to 110.

Talcher was the hottest place in the State with a daytime temperature of 44.3 degree Celsius. — PTI
