Centre probing cyber attacks

NEW DELHI: The Centre on Thursday said it was investigating the reports regarding hacking of websites of Defence and External Affairs Ministries by the Chinese. It has also taken steps to secure its cyber space and alerting various ministries on the need to protect their networks.
“We are verifying reports of important information coming under attack from foreign agencies…we are also taking steps to make our cyber space more secure,” Minister of State for Communications and IT Sachin Pilot said in the Rajya Sabha during Question Hour.
