Big win for Alappuzha
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Alappuzha crushed Kottayam by an innings and 24 runs in the South Zone under-19 inter-district cricket tournament here on Thursday.
The scores: Alappuzha 256 for nine in 70 overs bt Kottayam 132 in 40.5 overs (P.K. Midhun three for 12) and 100 in 43.5 overs (M. Midhun four for 29, P.K. Midhun three for 10, Ashiq Akkim three for 24).
Thiruvananthapuram 235 in 54 overs and 326 for eight in 76 overs (Atul 112, Renjith 66, Mintulal 55, Balu six for 95) drew with Kollam 167 in 47 overs (Rahul Dev 70, Jackson Cleetus 40, Nithin three for 34, Abhishek three for 47).
