Tries to ‘sexually assault' junior on college premises five days ago HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad police are on the look-out for Dasari Satish, fourth-year M.B.B.S. student of Bhaskara Medical College at Elkapally in Moinabad, who allegedly tried to sexually assault a junior on the college premises five days ago. He had already been suspended from the college following a complaint from the parents of the junior. According to Moinbabad Inspector V. Bhaskar, the accused had been harassing the third year student. “He would pester her to speak with him. Worried over his threats, the student spoke to Satish a couple of times. But she stopped interacting with him as he continued to intimidate her,” the Inspector said. A few days ago, two of Satish's friends - Rahul and Srinivas - approached the junior asking her to maintain cordial relations with Satish. Meanwhile, Satish stalked the junior on the college premises on April 24 and went inside the room meant for girls following her. The student charged that she was alone at that time and Satish tried to sexually assault her. He hurried out of the room after the student raised an alarm. The next day, her parents approached the college principal who suspended Satish after an inquiry. The Moinabad police registered a case under Section 376 (rape) read with 511 (attempt) of Indian Penal Code against Satish who is absconding.
