Manipur, U.P. triumph

KOZHIKODE: Manipur boys and Uttar Pradesh girls emerged as champions in the National junior sepak takraw championship here on Monday.

The results: Boys (final): Manipur bt Tamil Nadu 21-16, 21-13, 21-15, 21-15. Semifinals: Manipur bt Andhra 21-16, 21-14, 21-10, 21-12. Tamil Nadu bt Nagaland 22-20, 21-19, 21-19, 19-21, 15-9.

Girls (final): Uttar Pradesh bt Nagaland 21-15, 21-14, 21-14, 15-21, 15-12. Semifinals: Uttar Pradesh bt Orissa 21-16, 21-14, 21-10, 21-5. Nagaland bt Kerala 21-11, 21-9, 21-3, 21-15 .
