HASC's HERO:Xavier Vijaykumar (left) scored twice in his team's 3-1 win over Oil India. BANGALORE: Both group A qualifiers, Malabar United (Kozhikode) and HASC (Bangalore), scored fluent wins over Sesa FC and Oil India (Assam), respectively in the ONGC second division I-League final round here on Tuesday. This is HASC's second straight win after piping Malabar United 1-0 in its earlier outing, while Sesa lost its second straight match. Oil India drew 1-1 with NISA (Manipur) in its first outing. Malabar looked the dominant side in the early stages and, but for some narrow misses by Firos K and Jacken Sebastian. In the second session, Malabar United scored in the 53rd minute with Enyinnaya Loveday heading home a Vijesh Kumar cross from right and two minutes later earned a ‘penalty' after being challenged by Sesa defender Nicolau Colaco, which Asif deftly converted. In the 71st minute Firos rounded off the tally capitalising a Loveday pass with a neat left footer. In the other match, Oil India looked tough but missed chances aplenty to give the Aircraftmen full points. Xavier Vijaykumar turned home a Rajendra Prasad corner kick in the 30th minute. In the second half, Satrish (Jr) capped a fine solo with a neat goal in the 54th minute before Xavier neatly flicked into the far corner a Rajendra Prasad through in the 71st. The results: HASC 3 (Xavier-2, Satrish-jr) bt Oil India 1 (Choudhary); Malabar FC 3 (Loveday, Asif-pen, Firos) bt Sesa 0 .
