HYDERABAD: The Asian conference on physical education and computer science in sports, to be organised by the Indian Federation of Computer Science in Sports in association with the International Association of Computer Science in Sports, will be held at the Prof. G. Ram Reddy Centre for Distance Education, Osmania University, here from May 7 to 9. About 450 delegates from Asia are expected to attend and present about 150 research papers in various related subjects including bio-mechanics, kinesiology, latest trends and technologies in sports, role of media towards sports and also sports medicine. Prof. T. Tirupati Rao, Vice-Chancellor, OU, will formally inaugurate. Nizam Gold Cup cricket The all-India Nizam Gold Cup prize money cricket tournament (under-22) will be organised from May 14 by the Charminar Sports Academy in Kurnool. The winners will get Rs. 3 lakh and the runners-up Rs 1.5 lakh, while the third-placed team will be richer by Rs. 75,000.
