VIJAYAWADA: The Central Crime Station (CCS) police on Tuesday arrested Nekkanti Srinivas, 32, against whom 65 cases of thefts and burglaries and 18 arrest warrants were pending in Bellary in Karnataka, and produced him in the court. Following a tip-off, the police took Srinivas into custody when he was trying to sell 100 grams of gold jewellery in a gold shop in One-Town and began questioning him. During the primary investigation, the police found that he was involved in numerous offences of thefts and burglaries in Bellary and in 15 house breakings on a single night at Gangavati in Karnataka. About six years ago, he went to Eluru and settled down there. A murder case was pending against him in Eluru.
