dated May 6, 1960: Reception to Nehru

All tickets for the India League reception to Prime Minister Nehru at the Central Hall, Westminster, on May 6, have been sold out. The capacity of the hall is 2,700 and the admission tickets had been sold out even as early as last week. Miss Bridget Tunnard, organiser of the reception, said that hundreds of application for tickets had been turned down because an overflow meeting was not possible and Scotland Yard were objecting as it would be difficult to make security arrangements.
