Judoka exonerated

NEW DELHI: Parul Verma, the 14-year-old judoka from Uttar Pradesh, has been exonerated of an anti-doping rule violation charge by the National Anti-Doping Disciplinary panel.

The panel, headed by lawyer Jasmeet Singh, ruled on Wednesday that Parul was entitled to complete elimination of a possible two-year ban since she had taken a banned medicine under medical supervision and the case came under the ‘no fault or negligence' clause.
