LSP welcomes death penalty for Kasab

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Lok Satta Party on Thursday welcomed death penalty to Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone surviving terrorist responsible for 26/11 Mumbai carnage, sentenced by the special court. The party complimented the judiciary for trying Kasab as per the laws of the land.

In a statement issued here, official spokesperson of the party K. Srinivasa Rao said the death penalty to Kasab would be a warning to terrorists who plan to attack India. Politicians and governments should accept the necessity of extraordinary measures in exceptional situations and actions against infiltrators should not be opposed in the name of religion, it said.
