Indian boys lose in quarterfinals

NEW DELHI: The Indian boys failed to win a set as the second-seeded Japan recorded a 3-0 victory in the quarterfinals of the Asia-Oceania World junior under-14 tennis tournament in Anqing, China, on Thursday.

The results: Japan bt India 3-0 (Jumpei Yamasaki bt Jude Raymond 6-3, 6-4; Ken Onishi bt Basil Khuma 6-1, 6-3; Ken Onishi and Jumpei Yamasaki bt Vignesh Prabhu and Jude Raymond 6-3, 6-3) .
