Tirupur: The 21st Tamil Nadu State under-17 chess championship for the N.R. Krishnamma Raja Memorial Rolling Shield (boys) and the Arasan Fireworks Trophy (girls), organised by the Tirupur District Chess Association, will be held at the Vivekananda Vidyalaya MHSS on Dharapuram Road from May 8 to 13. TDVA office-bearers Ravi K. Ramalingam has been elected president of the newly formed Tirupur District Volleyball Association (TDVA) at its General Body meeting held recently.
