Salgaocar posts win

Margao: Salgaocar hung on to its first half lead to edge past Mumbai FC 1-0 in a 24th round I-League football match here on Thursday.

The win saw Salgaocar move away from the drop zone with 27 points from 24 matches.

Meanwhile, Mumbai FC has 25 points from 24 matches after the loss.

Salgaocar scored the all important goal in the 15th minute through Ekene Ekenwa. — PTI
