WARANGAL: Not many students are able to get jobs despite completing their degrees from best management institutions on account of gap between the industry and academy, observed TCS regional head (HR), Srikanth Surampudi. Addressing the students at the management students meet ‘Cynosure-2010' here at Alluri Institute of Management Sciences, Mr Srikanth said as part of corporate responsibility, the TCS was helping students and faculty members of the management institutions that were registered with them, fill the gap between industry and academy. “The students can approach us for mock interviews and internships right from the beginning of the course and benefit from them. By the end of the course, students find it easy to get through the recruitment,” he said. Kakatiya University Vice-Chancellor N. Lingamurthy lauded the efforts of the Alluri College Management in organising students meet regularly. Institute secretary Dr. Banda Prakash listed out the efforts being made to bring out the best among the students. Professors Joga Chary Sithamberswamy, P Venkatraman, K V Satyaprakash and others took part.
