MUNICH: Tomas Berdych lost his ATP title here on Friday as the Czech Republic star ranked 16th in the world slipped to a 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 defeat to Germany's Philipp Petzschner in the quarterfinals. Petzschner, ranked 45 in the world, will play experienced Russian second seed and two-time champion here Mikhail Youzhny, who eased past Berdych's compatriot Jan Hajek 6-1, 6-3.
