Surprise visit to milk booths

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Nandini milk agents at Konanakunte and Avlahalli had a surprise visitor early on Saturday morning.

Chairman of the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) G. Somashekar Reddy visited the Nandini milk booths in the areas around 5 a.m. after several milk consumers complained that private milk brands were being sold in these booths.

According to KMF sources, consumers had sent emails stating that the authorised Nandini milk agents were selling private milk brands along with Nandini. Mr. Reddy reprimanded the agents found selling private milk brands.

He also assured the agents, who sought milk supply in 250 ml sachets, that their requests would be considered.
