CHENNAI: Leg-spinner R.S. Murali Mohan played the star role in Chennai Telephones' five-wicket victory over Freeze India in the All-India YSCA cricket tournament on Sunday.

He bagged five wickets for 16 runs and then remained unbeaten on 36.

Freeze India 127 in 23.4 overs (Senthil Sudharshan 28, Vivek Raj 34, V. Prabhakaran four for 29, R.S. Murali Mohan five for 16) lost to Chennai Telephones 129 for five in 22.4 overs (R.S. Murali Mohan 36 not out, V. Suresh 38, Vivek Raj three for 27).

YSCA ‘B' 156 in 29.4 overs (K. Balamurali 44) bt PUC 145 in 28.5 overs (V. Kiran Kumar 33, T.M. Hariprasad 26).

Magnet 178 for seven in 30 overs (Sam David 61, S. Palanivel 30, Joseph three for 42) bt Companion 166 for seven in 30 overs (Shashank 55, Jayaskandan 26, Saminathan 25, Meenakshi Sundaram three for 44).

Accenture 200 for six in 30 overs (Chandrasekar 35, Ajay 45, N.K. Srinivasan 51, Raja four for 41) bt Bandex Packaging 63 in 16.4 overs (Chandrasekar three for 15, Vijay Karthik five for 31).

M.Tet.Nen.Swami & Co 158 for eight in 30 overs (S. Ramesh 54, M. Narasimiah 31, S. Srivathsan five for 48) lost to Prahlad 159 for one in 18.1 overs (S.N. Selvakumar 87 not out, M. Satish Kumar 67 not out).

Amar 145 for eight in 30 overs (Sri Krishna 32, Anirudh 42 not out, Rajan four for 19) lost to Trinethra 146 for seven in 25.5 overs (Chinna 45, Selvaraj 25, Anirudh three for 26, Abhishek three for 29).

Unbeaten century by Pravin

Pravin scored an unbeaten century (102, 61b, 18x4, 1x6) to help Gee Ge CA beat Unique CA by 54 runs in the Dr. Vimala Convent-CSCA U-13 cricket tournament being held here.

The scores: Gee Ge CA 245 for four in 25 overs (Pravin 102 not out) bt Unqiue CA 191 in 23.1 overs (Raghavendra 29, Kathiravan four for 39) .

Ashwin shines

Ashwin's unbeaten 61 helped FSCA achieve a two-run win over CCA in the LHCA Parents Trophy cricket tournament here on Sunday.

The scores: FSCA 141 for four in 25 overs (Ashwin 61 n.o., Kishan Kumar 25, Vishwanathan 39) bt CCA 139 for seven in 25 overs (S. Manish 55 n.o., S. Akash 43); Kedar CA 96 in 25 overs lost to Prahlad CA 100 for five in 20.1 overs (Atul Srivastav 27) .
