Rs. 39.78 lakh given as assistance

ARIYALUR: The Collector, T. Abraham distributed assistance to the tune of Rs. 39.78 lakh to 148 beneficiaries during the public grievance day meeting held here on Monday. The Collector received petitions seeking assistance under various schemes from the public.
He handed over the petitions to the concerned department officials .Mr. Abraham distribution assistance to the tune of Rs. 26.20 lakh to 131 women beneficiaries under the Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Marriage Aid Scheme, marriage assistance of Rs. 20,000 to four women under the Social Protection Scheme, Rs. 12,500 to four persons for conducting final rites, compensation of Rs. 1.02 lakhs to three persons who were killed in accidents etc. R. Pitchai, District Revenue Officer and J. Bella, Project Officer, District Rural Development Agency were present.
