Udhagamandalam: L.S. Rajendran dominated week four of the Udhagamandalam golf season with comprehensive victories in the Mathew Philip memorial Trophy and Sri K. Rajagopal Trophy at the Ootacamund Gymkhana Club course here on Sunday.

M. Suresh (133 n.o.) helped New Stars CC score a 196-run win over Fernhill Youngsters Sports Club in the TNCA-NDCA second division league at the Laidlaw Memorial School grounds in Udhagamandalam on Sunday.

The scores: New Star CC 355 for five in 40 overs (M. Suresh 133 n.o., B. Guru Prasad 51 n.o., Haroon Rashid 46) bt Fernhill Youngsters SC 159 (V. Gopala Krishnan 32, B. Guru Prasad three for 31). ‘A' Classic CC 131 (K. Sathish Kumar four for 28) lost to Green City CC 132 for nine in 32 overs (S. Kantharaj four for 35). Fernhill YSC 213 (P. Mukesh 43, M. Pranesh 32, L. Prabhu four for 32) bt Mechanics CC 211 (H. Sanjeevi 67 n.o., K. Magesh Kumar 59) .

Easy for SPB

SPB Sports Club (Pallipalayam) defeated Ranjit Cricket Club ‘A' (Tiruchengodu) by seven wickets in the TNCA-DCAN first division league at the SPB Colony grounds in Namakkal.

The scores: First division: Ranjit CC ‘A' (Tiruchengodu) 150 in 34 overs (K. Manibarathy 46) lost to SPB SC (Pallipalayam) 152 for three in 29.4 overs (M. Karthick 67, R. Srinivasan 42 n.o.). Second division: NKCM CC (B. Kumarapalayam) 225 in 38.1 overs (Sekar 34, Varunmital 54, Gopalakrishnan 44, Periyasamy three for 28) bt Royal CC (Periyamanali) 174 in 30.3 overs (Gopalakrishnan 46, Balasubramani 56) .

Chandramouli CC registers win

Chandramouli Cricket Club posted a 33-run win over Kumar Cricket Club in the TNCA-SDCA first division league at the Engineering College ‘A' grounds in Salem recently.

The scores: First division: Chandramouli CC 172 for nine in 45 overs (K. Sivasankar 56, S.P. Vijayakumar 44, Amirthalingam five for 31) bt Kumar CC 139 in 45 overs.

WRMCC CC 194 in 45 overs (N. Prakash 48, R. Vivek three for 27) lost to KPSC 195 for eight in 37.5 overs (S. Harimani 51 n.o.).
