NEW DELHI: An Indian Airlines air hostess has been booked by the CBI for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to her known sources of income. It is alleged that Anu Puri, an officer of the deputy manager level, had acquired disproportionate assets worth about Rs.3.62 crore between 1982 and February 28, 2010. According to the agency, Ms. Puri had purchased immovable assets, two properties at the posh Green Park, two at Safdarjung Enclave and one property at Anand Niketan and a flat in Safdarjung Enclave that is in the name of her late father. The CBI found that the total value of assets in Ms. Puri's name was estimated at about Rs.4.12 crore. After considering her income and expenses, the amount disproportionate to her income is estimated at over Rs.3.62 crore. During searches at the premises of the accused and her associates, the CBI claim to have seized Rs.7.25 lakh in cash and several documents.
