KOTTAYAM: Kollam girls edged out Kannur 66-63 to enter the final in the 34th State junior basketball championships at the Girideepam Bethany floodlit courts on Tuesday.

The results: Boys: Quarterfinals: Pathanamthitta 48 (Nithin Paul Stephen 15, Arun K. Thomas 10) bt Kannur 36 (Sydeesh Surendran 17, V.P. Rajeesh 10).

Girls: Semifinals: Kollam 66 (Shilji George 20, Premi P. Lal 17, P.G. Anjana 16) bt Kannur (P.S. Jeena 26, M.J. Libina 15, P.R. Surya 10). Quarterfinals: Kottayam 61 (Sona M.Saji 19, Anila Augustine 14, M.Athira 10) bt Thiruvananthapuram 42 (Lincy Jerome 11, Arya 10) .
