Dacoits loot 100 sovereigns of gold

NAMAKKAL: An armed gang wearing masks barged into a textile exporter's house at Komarapalayam Kolakkadu near here and made away with about 100 sovereigns of gold jewellery early on Thursday.

Police said the 5-member gang entered the house of Balachandran and after threatening him and his wife at knife point, they took away the valuables. Police have formed special squads to nab the dacoits. — Special Correspondent
