Expose malicious campaign, Ministers told
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD:Chief Minister K. Rosaiah has asked Agriculture Minister N. Raghuveera Reddy and other cabinet colleagues to expose the malicious propaganda launched by Opposition parties from time to time against the government on various issues.
“Some political parties are sparing no effort to reach out to farmers just for political gains, but farming community has reposed its faith on the Congress governments time and again as serving farmer's interests was paramount to them,” Mr. Rosaiah remarked during an interaction with the Agriculture Minister here on Sunday.
A meagre amount of Rs. 9,000 crore was spent for the agriculture sector during 2003-04 whereas Rs. 38, 000 crore have been spent during 2009-10.
“It clearly shows our commitment towards the farmers and our government is committed for Rythu Rajyam established by Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy,” he said.
