KOCHI: Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi has cautioned people against certain unscrupulous agents in India who send students to Australia. Mr. Ravi was addressing the faculty and staff during the annual summer conclave organised by VIT University here. He said nearly two lakh Indian students were pursuing various courses in colleges and universities in the U.S. and Australia. Several unscrupulous agents were exploiting the interest of the youngsters, he said. VIT University Chancellor G. Viswanathan spoke on the various initiatives of the university. S. Narayanan welcomed the gathering. VIT University Vice-Chancellor D.P. Kothari proposed a vote of thanks.
