KOCHI: The Private Bus Thozhilali Federation, affilaited to the AITUC has called off the two-day strike that it had called tfrom Tuesday in the city, following talks held with police officials and the district administration here on Monday. Written complaints “We made it clear that the police can take action only against bus workers who violated the law. The stir was withdrawn after it was agreed that the reason for initiating action against workers would be issued in writing,” said the federation general secretary Joy Joseph. Bus workers unions owing allegiance to the CITU, INTUC, BMS and TUCI had earlier made it clear that they would not join the strike.
