Indian archery team for WC

KOLKATA: An eight-member Indian recurve archery team was named for the upcoming World Cup Stage II at Antalya, Turkey, from June 7 to 11.

The compound squad would be sent to Chinese Taipei to participate in the third Asian Grand Prix from June 28 to July 2.

The World Cup team:

Recurve: Men: Mangal Singh Champia (Railways), Jayanta Talukdar, Rahul Banerjee (both Steel Plant) and Tarundeep Rai (Services).

Women: Laishram Bombayla Devi, Dola Banerjee (Railways), Rimil Buriuly and Deepika Kumari (Steel Plant). Coaches: Limba Ram, Lokesh Chand Pal and Wang Woo Lee (Korea).

The Grand Prix team: Compound: Men: C. Srither, Kh. Ratan Singh (Services), I.R. Sanam (Railways) and Ritul Chatterjee (AP).

Women: Jhano Hansdah (Jharkhand), Sakro Besra (Railways), Vrushali Gorle (Maharashtra) and Namita Yadav (Jharkhand). — Special Correspondent
