Abhishek and Sanjith shine

Bangalore: Abhishek Reddy's 109 and Sanjith Shankar's five-wicket haul helped Bangalore Occasionals defeat Wadiyar CC by 154 runs in a KSCA Group I, third division league match here recently.

The scores: Bangalore Occasionals 292 for three in 55 overs (Abhishek Reddy 109, Kayan Abbas 60 n.o., Md. Muneer 49, K.S.T. Sai 41 n.o.) bt Wadiyar CC 138 in 46.5 overs (Sudarshan 38, Naveen 31, Sanjith Shankar five for 48, Nasiruddin four for 18).

YMCA CC (1) 100 in 29.4 overs (Dhananjay 27, Anand six for 40) lost to Visweswaram CC (1) 101 for three in 15.2 overs (Chandru 51).

Cavaliers CC 192 in 50.3 overs (Deepak Ugrappa 57, Bharath 41, Dev Prasadam seven for 105) drew with Standard CC 159 for six in 44 overs (Venkatesh 50, Vikas Kumar 34, Beerappa three for 23, Prasanna three for 83).

Jayanagar United Cricketers 249 for six decl. in 53 overs (George 75 n.o., Prasad 54, Shaibal 48) drew with Young Lions Club 236 for seven in 43 overs (Gopinath Sandra 126, Vasanth Kumar 33, Giridhar Koppikar 32, George three for 59).
