North Zone well placed

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: North Zone seized the advantage against KCA XI on first day of the under-19 inter-zonal cricket match at the Medical College ground on Tuesday.

After bundling out KCA XI for 134, North Zone ended the day at a fairly comfortable position of 95 for four. Earlier, Mohd. Ashik (three for 17) and Akshay (three for 33) did the damage with the ball as KCA XI collapsed after winning the toss and electing to bat.

The scores: KCA XI 134 in 49.2 overs (Anoop 38, Mohd. Ashik three for 17, Akshay three for 33) vs. North Zone 95 for four in 42 overs .
